Fidelity Digital Assets, an institutional provider of custody and trade execution services for digital assets from Fidelity Investments Company, today announced the appointment of Christine Sandler as head of Sales and Marketing.

In this new role, Sandler will direct the efforts to expand Fidelity Digital Assets into new markets and serve a broader set of institutional clients. She will be based in New York. Sandler joins from Coinbase, Inc., a digital assets exchange and custodian, where she recently served as U.S. Head of Sales.

She brings extensive experience in sales leadership having previously served as Head of Equity Electronic Sales for the Americas at Barclays Investment Bank where she led cross-selling efforts and new business generation, and as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Sales for NYSE Euronext. She also previously served as Head of Electronic Sales at Merrill Lynch and has worked as a buy-side trader.

“We’re excited for Christine to join our growing team,” said Tom Jessop, President of Fidelity Digital Assets. “We look forward to her leadership in support of the strong interest we’re seeing from investors who are looking for a trusted provider to take an increasing role in this market.”

An advocate for women’s leadership, Sandler co-founded the Women’s Leadership Action Network and was named a Woman Worth Watching by Diversity Journal in 2014.

Sandler serves as a trustee of two public charter schools serving autistic students in East Harlem and the Bronx, NY. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
